Putin Lauds North Korea on Visit, Vows Closer Russia-DPRK Ties

In a message to the Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality shown to the Russian delegation during their recent state visit to North Korea.

President Putin noted that this high-level visit has elevated the relationship between Moscow and Pyongyang to an unprecedented level of “comprehensive strategic partnership.” He stated that new opportunities for fruitful cooperation in many areas are now opening up between the two countries.
