As tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East, French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a strong warning that any attack on Cyprus would be treated as an attack against the entire European community.
His remarks reflect growing anxiety among European leaders that the ongoing conflict in the region could expand beyond its current boundaries and directly affect Europe.
The warning came as the war involving Israel, Iran and the United States entered its second week, with continued exchanges of strikes and rising military activity across the region. Macron said the planned mission would focus on protecting commercial vessels and ensuring the safe passage of tankers once the intensity of the fighting decreases.
