A civil jury in the United States has awarded $19.25 million in damages to a woman who accused former entertainer Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her more than five decades ago,

The plaintiff, Donna Motsinger, told the court that the incident occurred in 1972 after she met Cosby at a restaurant in Sausalito.
