More than 20 artists from various countries, including China, India, the UK, Serbia, and several African nations, have arrived in Moscow to participate in the event.
One of the festival’s central features is the special “Africa” exhibition, which showcases artworks collected from private collections in Russia as well as pieces brought in from different African countries. Visitors can explore a diverse array of traditional masks and paintings by African artists.
Among the notable artists featured at the festival is Fidel Cabrikan from Burkina Faso. Cabrikan’s work is a compelling fusion of contemporary art techniques and his unique, self-developed method.
“In my works, I combine contemporary art techniques with my own developed method, which involves using my hands, paints, and specific color choices. I focus on depicting faces and hands because the face reflects human nature, and the hands represent what humans create,” Cabrikan explained.
His approach emphasizes the emotional and creative capacities of humans, rendered through a distinctive and tactile artistic process.
Additionally, the festival features a digital installation called “Sphere.” This three-and-a-half-meter-high sphere displays digital artworks from around the world, providing a unique and immersive experience for attendees.10:15
