Arrest Made in Brutal Murder of 42 Kenyan Women

The suspect in the brutal murders of women whose bodies were found in a garbage dump in Mukuru village, Nairobi County, Kenya, Collins Jomaisi Khalisia (33), has been arrested in Kayole, Nairobi County.

According to Acting Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, the suspect hails from Vihiga County and was apprehended while in hiding.

He mentioned that they have already recovered 9 bodies and urged those who have lost loved ones to report to the police.

On his part, Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, stated that after questioning, the suspect confessed to the murders, revealing that he killed more than 42 women between 2022 and July 11, 2024.

Investigative officers have recovered 24 SIM cards, 8 mobile phones, a tablet, and a machete among other items, which they believe the suspect used in committing these heinous crimes.

Collins was arrested in Kayole after a joint operation by DCI officers and the National Police Service, outside a club where he had gone to watch the Euro soccer finals.
