Iran’s senior military commander, Major General Abdollahi, has vowed that Tehran will not allow US warships to re-enter the Persian Gulf, declaring that Iranian forces are prepared to prevent American naval vessels from accessing the strategic waterway.
Abdollahi said Iranian forces had weakened the US Navy and insisted that American warships would be prevented from entering the Persian Gulf under any circumstances.
The Iranian commander also criticised US President Donald Trump over statements concerning Iran’s nuclear facilities, questioning what he described as contradictions in claims that the facilities had been destroyed.
He further questioned why US forces were avoiding approaching Iran’s borders, using the issue to challenge Washington’s military posture in the region.

Abdollahi warned that a prolonged confrontation would create greater difficulties for both the United States and Israel, signalling Tehran’s readiness to maintain its firm position amid escalating regional tensions.
The Persian Gulf is a strategically important waterway for global energy markets, with substantial volumes of oil and other energy products transported through the region. Any military escalation that threatens maritime security could have significant consequences for international shipping and global oil prices.
The commander’s remarks underscore the continuing tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel. However, his claims about the condition of the US Navy and the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities have not been independently established in the information provided.
