A Russian tanker carrying 326,800 barrels of petroleum products, including diesel fuel, has departed from the Russian port of Primorsk and is heading towards New York, according to Russian media reports shared by the Russian Embassyโs official Instagram account.
The vessel, named Anatoly Kolodkin, has a displacement of approximately 50,000 tonnes. Its reported journey comes amid developments in Russiaโs energy export policy and international efforts to manage fuel supplies in global markets.
Earlier this month, Russia partially lifted its restrictions on diesel exports as part of an energy agreement reportedly reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States President Donald Trump. The agreement was said to allow 500,000 tonnes of fuel to enter the global market during its initial phase.
