More than 500 exhibitors from domestic and international industrial companies are set to take part in the Tanzania International Manufacturers Expo 2024 dubbed TIMEXPO2024
Leodegar Tenga, the Executive Director of the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI), announced yesterday that TIMEXPO 2024, scheduled to commence in September this year, will host exhibitors from around the globe showcasing their equipment and products across various sectors.
“This year’s TIMEXPO will present cutting-edge technologies across diverse sectors, with over 500 exhibitors from local and international industrial sectors,” stated Tenga.
TIMEXPO continues to serve as a key platform for manufacturers to exhibit their offerings to potential customers and partners. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore current industry trends, engage with suppliers and customers, and uncover new business prospects.
Tenga, also highlighted that the themed Expo, “Building Bridges: Connecting Local and International Manufacturers,” will spotlight key sectors to promote and introduce new equipment, products, and services to the Tanzanian market.
Various sectors such as building and construction materials, extractive manufacturing (metals, minerals, and plastics), Agriprocessing, paints industry, textile and leather industry, cosmetics industry, and manufacturing of consumer goods are expected to be featured. Additionally, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy technologies, electrical appliances, modern industrial equipment, and machinery will also be showcased.
Fortunatus Mhambe, the Director of Trade Promotion at the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), stated that the authority has partnered with CTI to organize the expo with the aim of boosting the growth of domestic industries.
He urged stakeholders from both within and outside the country to participate in the event as the registration window is currently open.
“Beyond acquiring new technologies, the event will offer participants opportunities to promote various products and services manufactured in the country… thereby connecting manufacturers with different producers of raw materials and other services utilized in industries,” he emphasized.
